Yestermorn, through changing fields,
From yellow to purple, not forgetting pink,
Green, brown and grey everywhere
And the blue sky all over this all

Behind this skirted around mountain,
A small path is hidden
Peaceful and agreable it is in the fresh air
Of such a windy morning

A white observatory never reached
Getting lost in a farmer’s track
Rounded crest and abrupt cliff
A road snaking its way below

Thousands flowers here and there
Some very strange,
And other sweet-smelling
They all make a lovely carpet for our steps

It was behind Sainte-Victoire
next to the Col des Portes
Going to the Sinne’s Observatory
On the Citadelle’s path…

The weather is now sunny and warm. At last, the April showers came to an end ! Usually, in France, it rains more in march, hence the proverb saying ‘Giboulées de mars’ (March showers), but this year it wasn’t the case at all.
So I’m making the most of this lovely weather to pick and keep a few sunrays for grayer, sadder times. But how can we keep a sunray, will you wonder. It is quite simple, you must wrap a thread around the chosen sunray, then tighten it more and more, until the sunray impregnates the thread. There, caught between these soft fibers, it can’t escape anymore, but it still shines.
This thread, I immediately knit it. I added some dragonflies to the mix, in remembrance of this spring which was sweeter than usual this year. And, considering how few hats I have (we never have hats enough !), I made a Dragonflies Hat out of it!

Winter can come back tomorrow, I now have something to warm ears, eyes and heart up at the same time… (But I’d rather wait for a few months, I think!)

These last few weeks, I have a project growing up in a small corner of my full of dreams head.
These last few weeks, I’ve been juggling with pots, dyes and colors, as well as yarn.
And these last few weeks, I’ve been quite proud of myself, and I’m really hoping for a future filled with colors…
Do you want a snippet of what I’ve been working on ?

9 colors and already a rainbow forming !
Yesterday a ray of sunlight, mingled with anemones and crimson tulips, fell off my needles ; yesterday a multicolor shawl was born, and it had a fitting name : Color Affection [and ravelry link]. It is ideal for color lovers who are trying to fight off our streets’ blackness and grayness. And this, even only because spring is here and because hearts are happy in these bright floral landscapes appearing everywhere…

Color Affection : neck joy
…It was a garter sea, just like all those marvels Veera Välimaki creates, so beautiful to look at, but sometimes boring to make. Thankfully, we had many dvds to watch and it made this project jump from my needles to my neck !
And this effort was worth it. Look at how it makes me happy, this ray of sunlight !

What I can say is that I do mix such bright colors together very often !
